For several years I worked as a teacher of English as a Second or Foreign Language. It was a wonderful experience that gave me the opportunity to travel the world, living and working in China and Mexico, and meet people from all over the world here in Vancouver. Language is one of my passions and it brought me closer to that, and I also developed cross-cultural, interpersonal and presentational and leadership skills that are very valuable. As a writer it gave me the chance to constantly develop and test materials with an immediate audience, which is another valuable skill that I hope to put into practice in the future. As an English teacher I worked with all levels from beginner to high advanced, teaching conversation, idiomatic language and academic writing as well.
